| Although I love the Stray Cats, it's dogs that I love the most. I don't know why, but I see a dog and go all googly straight away "Aww who's a cute puppy wuppy? YOU ARE!" etc. A few weeks ago my mother and I had noticed a stray dog that had been hanging around where we keep our horses. After about a week we started feeding the dog to gain her trust so we could get her into our car. Of course once we had her we put up 'FOUND' signs and ringing animal welfare to see if anyone had reported her missing. No one did. We happily adopted her into our family, along with our previous dog 'Ozzie'. Now, I don't know what it is like in other households but in my house dogs are not only our pets but they are also a part of our family. We love them with a passion and I guess that's why they love us back. So we have had this new dog, who my mother named 'Bonnie', for about 3 weeks now and yesterday she gave birth to 9 puppies!! Obviously we didn't know she was pregnant when we picked her up off the streets but even if we did we still would have So I guess this thread is for you guys to tell us about your furry, feathered and.. slimey family members Kid. | |

| AWWW they're so cute!!! Congrats mom! I have 3 dogs: - a 10 year old female black lab named Roxie, my friends got divorced and we got the dog - a 9 year old female mutt named Brandy, who was abused as a puppy and is very timid to strangers, but very sweet once you get to know her - a 1 year old boy dog named Duke, aka dukee-balls: he's not fixed YET. I also have 3 cats: - an 18 year old male cat named Bernard. We use to have his sister, and her name was Bianca, like The Rescuers. He lives outside, he's fixed, but still marks his territory/pisses on everything - that is why he's an outside cat. - a 3 year old female cat named Precious. My daughter named her, yes I say her name like Gollum. - a one year old female cat named Pahu which is Hawaiian for explosion. I (we) love our animals and they are part of our family. However - all dogs stay outside, and all cats stay inside (with the exception of Bernard. | |

| Glad to see the puppies finally arrived. How many? I think I see 7 or 8.
All I have is me cat Sally to the left. I'll leave her up for a while. She's 7 today but I've raised her since she was 5 weeks.

| Great thread! I was going to post this in the something weird thread but I forgot and now that this thread has started why not here? I sing songs about my dog all the time. I just make the words up and usually sing them to the tune of a song I already know. Anyway shes a corgi and her name is Winnie. We had a Chow named Bear but just recently had to put him down. .... Heres their picture. | |

| Yeah you did a wonderful thing Kid! What's really funny to me is the same thing happened to me and my wife about 3 years ago. On the day of our anniversary I was at the mall and saw this dog tied next to the entrance of a store. A security guard tells me he's been there for hours. Probably someone abandoned him. So, seeing as noone would take care of the poor little thing, I decide I would take her (by then I had realised it was a she) to the vet to check if she had an electronic chip in the neck (you know, with registration and all). I did and guess what: nothing, of course. It seemed our then 7 year old Irish Setter and her went along pretty well so we decided to keep her and call her Lola. 4 weeks later: tadaaaa! 6 puppies came out of her belly! We found good homes for 4 of them (one died the next day), including one at my parents and kept one for ourselves. So now we've got 3 dogs and love them as if they were our babies PS: I would post a photo but have no idea how to, so you'll just have to believe me! | |

| This is my Mum and Dad's little terror. His name is Meggs as in Ginger Meggs. For my American friends Ginger Meggs is Australia’s equivalent of Dennis The Menace. He adopted my parents so I guess he was a Stray Cat!! Now he’s more of a Garfield. Mum and Dad call him Houdini because he always escapes. He has another name, S**t Head because he has major mood swings. He’s probably getting back at them for having his youknowwhat’s removed. Having pets is brilliant, makes all the ills of the world go away. Had a crap day? I dare you not to melt when you're met at the door by a big smilling dog and a wagging tail. René | |

You need to post more pics of the pups now that they're getting older. Still have them all? I have 2 cats, Baby and Sunshine. Baby is my fat girl . . . old, round, and squeaky. Sunshine is my freak of nature . . . orange tabby who is also a polydactyl. But she also has a toe with 2 claws in it. I have 2 dogs, Harley and Gretchen. Harley is my big fellah. He's part German shepherd and part Airedale. I suspect part Clydesdale since he's 120 lb but gentle. Gretchen is the newbie. She's part wiener and part Chihuahua so she's my rat dog. All my animals are rescues except for Gretchen. We were looking around for a puppy for our daughter, and my friend was trying to find homes for her puppies. Perfect timing. All my pets bring us such joy. Well, except for when Gretchen has snuck into my daughter's room and found something to destroy. Then it's chaos. | |
