| I don't think this has been covered. I got excited reading the recent interview where Brian said he was looking forward to writing some songs. I don't know about you, but I'm lookin' forward to hearing them!
Lately my favourite originals are the mellower, moodier, less "mainstream" tunes: Sammy Davis City, Nine Lives, Rosie in the Middle, Beautiful Blues, and even Hennepin Avenue Bridge. But by far the Setzer original I love the most right now and can't get out of my head is Dreamsville. It's gorgeous, moody as hell, and the frustration, longing and sleeplessness are practically palpable. It's just about the sexiest song on the planet.
So how 'bout you? What's your favourite Setzer original right now?

| Hey andi, Gotta say that Rosie in the middle is my all time favourite song ever of Brian. Just love the way it sounds as if he just turned on the mics and started jamming. Just a great feel. Cheers Pete. | |

| Hey Andi!!!
Gotta be Runaway Boys (for al the wrong reasons). I also think Storm The embassy is a well written song, although I think i'm correct in saying that Ken Kineally had a hand in some of the melody.
The best song he wrote out of the comfort zone (i.e. rockabilly girls, cars and booze) is Maria. And i love that song to bits.
The rains never came, I saw my land die. Maria was sleepin' as i kissed her goodbye

| Stray Cat Strut holds a special place in my heart, as it was the first song I heard by the Cats. Thing About You gets me everytime, too. | |

| I cant say that anyone as mentioned a song that Im not mad on, they are all works of art. I love Gene and Eddie, its just so original, even though its like a medley of other songs that were done before,it just gets you the way that it's been put together. Pure Brilliance!!! Carbon Cat UK | |

Ooh! Thanks for the reminder! There's so many good ones it's hard to remember them all! This is one of my favourites too. I love "story" songs. - Pinkpiratekitty wrote:

PPK, that's not an original! It was recorded by Warren Smith on Sun in 1956. Alice Cooper of all people covered it in 1977 too! The Cats certainly did give it their own beat though!

I could never get over Macho Grande-billy I couldn't figure out what you were talking about at first, until I looked at my post. I forgot the "I'll" as in I'll get over it, as in one more oops -not the last Im sure. Sorry to offend anyone. I need to pay more attention when writing posts.

| (Besides all the others) I love Little Miss Prissy, Drink Whisky and Shut Up (for the bluesy feel), Jumpin' East of Java (which got me into the BSO, I was lost for awhile ) and Hey Santa for the dixieland sound, real toe tapping stuff. René | |

| Breath Of Life (there is a brilliant live bootleg version that I posted a link to once prob still on the site somewhere - I can't link to it anymore re work restrictions on my computer - also great version of rock this town in E I think for all us guitar nerds).
Gene and Eddie - for me the most uplifting song ever -greatest celebration of rock'n'roll and the rockabilly lifestyle
Bring It Back Again - most under-rated single by the cats
You Don't Believe Me -as above but prob even more so
Ignition - return to top rocking form when I heard this track kick off the 68 CBS album -although I really like the BSO stuff for me the Cats and the harder rocking solo stuff is where it is at.
By the way for my money the Knife Feels Like Justice album is criminally under-rated - I even like the Rain Washed Everything Away!
