| Brian broke that out for 5 Years, 4 Months, 3 Days on the Ignition tour. (The song, I mean. Brian didn't actually have the guitar out that long!)
Whenever he brought out that guitar, he would start playing the opening to Stairway to Heaven! Freakin' hilarious!

| Mr Prez ,thanx for posting those photos. It was in October 2001. I was at that Dublin gig too and it rocked. It was Brians first and only time ever playing Ireland. I have the setlist somewhere, I'll post tonight if I can find it. I remember the crowd calling for Runaway Boys and Brian replied ,"I came all this way, I'm gonna play what I wanna play" and indeed he never played that song. He did however play a beautiful version of Gentle on my mind on the banjo. Also 5years,4 months, This cats on a hot tin roof, Gene and Eddie ,sleepwalk ,Rumble in Brighton, Rock this town and Rooster rock as well as 8 track. | |

| I may or may not be out of line in what I am about to say...
the 68 CBS portion of Brian's career was the best.
I mean, look at it. IGNITION was one of those albums that opened up and just kicked you in the face with power, energy, talent, and from the live recordings that are floating around, it is some of the highest energy stuff I have ever heard.
Ok, I may not have actually been offensive, but y'all gotta agree with me on saying that that period of time was pretty damn awesome.

| I too, am a fan of that era. The songs where great, the music was fantastic, and live in Glasgow, they were just awsome! Mark and Bernie, just blended,so well together. And to see Brian play a double neck, just pure magic.
Would be nice to see it out one more time, in either London,Manchester or Glasgow.
Really Rocabilly........................Wee Mark. | |
