| More to add to your list of Brian's fave's. Favorite Movie: And just what the heck does Brian Setzer like to do around the house.
My self, as my wife puts it "you can go out in that garage and just dink around and never get anything done"
You know you go out turn the TV or stereo on have a cocktail and pop the hood on the Buick, or what ever and you can always find something to do, a car is never done.

| It's a funny thing! What they used to say to the press. I remember Brian saying his favorite singer was Etta James. He also said his favorite food was Pumpernickel on Rye at one point. I think it would change with each interview, i mean... they were kids after all. The thing is, we used to hang on every word, so, when Brian said he loved Rye whiskey... who were we to argue. The fact is, he hardly ever mentioned his penchant for Single Malt, and Bobby Darin until established in his career. I remember being completely amazed that he also liked Bobby Darin, cos I thought it was un-related to The Stray Cats back in the '80's. In truth, even Stray Cats fans used to have a go for my musical tastes...

| Hot Rod - isn't it great to be able to share your likes with your kids! My daughter who just went into Jr. High is really getting into it even more since there are a pretty large group of Greasers at her school. It's been great sharing the history of everything related to "rockabilly" with her. She's always trying to pomp her dads hair, it kinda funny! We have a lot of the sames likes - great minds must think alike (My bday is feb 8, but Im a year older.) PPK | |

This is a bit off topic, but this response reminds me of a story regarding signed vinyl. I was at a Lee Rocker show in Omaha in 2006, and while sobering up outside the venue, I was enlisted to help load some of the band's equipment, including Lee's bass! Anyway, this kid who was obviously too young to get into the bar walks up to me and asks me if I would sign his copy of Rant-n-Rave. I guess since he saw me holding the bass, he assumed I was Lee Rocker! For a split second, I considered signing the album anyway, but then I thought better of it and said "Sorry, man. I didn't play on that album!" It was all I could do to keep a straight face. Imposter-billy

| That particular show was at Murphy's in Omaha, the same place he played with Scotty Moore in 2002. The bar had velvet Elvis paintings all over the place. It was a fun show, and the place was packed, but I have to say, they've never sounded better than they do on the current tour. By the way, I should have said, "Hi, neighbor." | It's actually a Rickabilly tribute to two icons my long-departed youth - Mr. Rogers and Mr Setzer. Tommy, however, didn't see it that way. Perhaps because I didn't photoshop some creepers into the picture.
Really Big Shoe-billy
PS - Tommy, if I had a bag full of baked goods from Beth-Ann, I highly doubt they'd last long enough to make it to this hypothetical "bus" of which you speak.

| HEY Pinkpiratekitty and Hot Rod Buick,
I can relate to what you say about sharing the Rockabilly history with my kids. My girls are 6 1/2 and 8, and they know who the Cats and Brian are!! Stuart Little helped with that!! Ella Rose my eldest loves to jam Stray Cat Strut with me but never in front of any one else!! Allegra my youngest puts on Zat You Santa Clause on repeat every Xmas!! Oh well, at least they're listening to music made with real instruments!! Cheers Pete.

| Very cool. Don't know if you have Disney channel & if your kids watch it, but he (Brian) also did the theme song to the House of Mouse show. It's cool to get all excited about something again. My brother-in-law gave me some Stray Cats vinyl 45's for my daughter, I thought she was going to cry she was sooooo excited! Keep on struttin! PPK | |
