Hey I was wondering wear people get their rockabilly clothes, I'm a fairly consistent customer with daddyos since they're located 30 miles from me. I go to TUK shoes for creepers but I'm on the look out for some good teddy boy jackets. Anyone got any ideas? I don't do that fancy dress crap. Ideally, I want a black teddy jacket with red trim and lapel. That would be ideal, or Brian's suit from the Live in Japan DVD, that was the coolest suit ever made!

Here are a couple of sites that I like:

http://www.rockabilly-rules.com
http://howcool.com

You can also do a search on rockabilly clothes and a lot of sites come up. Some aren't any good, mostly psychobilly stuff is sold. I sew and make most of the clothes that my daughter & I wear

Hope this helps!

I get most of my stuff from op shops/thrift stores.. and of course every now and then a gem will pop up on eBay.

Kid.

Same here....I prefer to wear real vintage, when I can find it in my sizes...here in the US, sometimes the mainstream department stores (like Walmart, Target, etc) will have some "retro" look styles, especially in shirts....

10-15 years ago you could find a whole wardrobe for dirt cheap at thrift stores. Bowling shirts, 501's Sharkskin suits etc. Now when I walk through a salvation army all I see is Ralph Furley leisure suits and iced denim jeans. The internet at least makes all these cool threads easily available though. But I'll tell ya' that when you come across a a mint condition gabardine bowling shirt or Hawaiian shirt that fits like a glove for a couple of bucks in a salvation army you feel like you've won on the Price is Right.
