| Height is good, but style over height is best. As i said earlier in this thread, Elvis` pomp on the Sinatra show is tops. But another Elvis cut that is worthy of mention, is the one he wore when he first enters the stage at the "stand up" (black leather suit ) segments of his NBC TV Special in 68. Simply superb. | |

Don't forget about Johnny Bravo! He may be only a cartoon but that pomp deserves some credit! I forgot about him! When my son was younger, he wated his hair like Johnny Bravo's. That show is pretty funny. I don't think it is on anymore here, or if it is, it's probably late night. ppk

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RZDv_uguXBE&NR=1 Thank you for that! It made my day. I'd never seen the part of Elvis singing without Sinatra. How adorable is Elvis sort of tentatively walking on stage to female screams and breaking into Fame And Fortune? Ah, don't even get me started! It's great to hear songs like Fame And Fortune and Stuck On You live. Love that little harmony part at the end. "Man, that's pretty!". Wow, they should remaster this and sell it (maybe it already is, for all I know!). Thanks again for posting. Pomp or not, Elvis is da king! Not that Mr. Sinatra is anything to sneeze at!

| That whole thing is on an unofficial home video that I picked up at, of all places, Wal-mart a few years back. Good luck finding it now, though. It wasn't remastered at all. Of course, the audio of Love Me Tender/Witchcraft was officially released on the Essential 60s Masters box (the rarities disc.) It's probably about time for RCA to reissue it again - that video release is a MUST!

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iuiUFVcq8fs&NR=1 Hey, you gotta remember, in the army, he had to keep his hair really short, so he kinda let it grow out to this huge pomp after he was discharged. Most all of his immediate post-army shots show him with the BIG HAIR Here's one in color from the Sinatra show : I love these : On the set of LOVING YOU, messed up pomp Stills from JAILHOUSE ROCK In the recording studio, I believe during the recording of the LOVING YOU soundtrack Rehearsals for the Milton Berle Show 1956 More Sinatra Some of his nicest publicity shots, cicra 1957-58 You ain't nuttin' but a hounnnn' dogga Not bad, considering it's from 1968 I could go on and on .....

Eddie told me Brian was a really nice guy.Brian gave him a ton of pics, and Cats stuff.I said what happend it.He told me.....'I didn't know what it was worth so I had it for a while then ...threw it away I hear these story's all the time living in Massapequa. THat's THE best picture of Brian I have ever seen. It was in the Face and the interview was conducted in a basement flat they had round the corner from Bayswater. It opens with Brian listening to Adam and the Ants. A few years later, that story was told to me by a non-fan, who was in my video shop in Earls Court while i was watching Stray Cats on the 'in-house' system. She said she lived in the flat above them... Ahhh the 80's - Bring it Back Again Mikey 'Lancaster Gate' W2

I really get a kick outta this one - at about the 0:25 mark, Johnny Cash does up his hair for an impersonation of Elvis. I can't help laughing every time I see it.
