Yeah man, great shot, huh? I flipped when I saw that in the email that Yan sent. Must have been taken in July 1982 at Fastlane in Asbury Park. Bruce played 3 or 4 songs during the encore at the Stray Cats' gig there.

I actually do have a bootleg cassette recording of Springsteen playin' with the Cats. The quality ain't so hot from what I remember.

Yeah, I know what you're talking about, and the quality is actually not that bad..........oh to have been a fly on the wall that night! The encores appeared first on some Brooce vinyl boot (a collection of 'guest' appearances), and it was many years later that the whole recording surfaced. No cell phone videos back then, I'm afraid.

From what I recall, Bruce joined in on 20 Flight Rock but you don't hear him singing, so I'm assuming he didn't know the words..........Thanks for putting up that pic. I wonder what recollections B has from that night...........??

There's an explanation in his wikipedia entry (HERE), that seems like it came from a legitimate source, for what that's worth...

I´ve got the picture in 1985 from Lee Rocker. He wrote on the back the picture is taken summer 84 so maybe they met on another gig?

By the way...I´ve got an mp3 from stray cats gig Asbury Park, NJ, The Fast Lane 23-Jul-1982 where
