Got me to thinkin'........

Hey gang,
After thinkin' about which was my favourite albums, I thought I'd check my records and cds. I have a few but after goin' through them I realize some are missing!!! I know I lent some out to band members, but I'll be stuffed if I know where the others have gone!! I'm hoping that they're misplaced with the other records and cds!
Anyways, thought I'd send a couple of photos and would interested in other people's collections. Some are duplicates of the same album but the Japanese versions so I could get the bonus songs, some are bootlegs, I put Lee's etc cause he is a Stray Cat and the Eddie Cochran album has liner notes by Brian himself.
I haven't put cassettes(remember those!),magazines, posters, dvds, videos or articles but would interested.


I know the quality ain't flash, but it gives you an idea. For the record, there's 27 vinyl and 56 cds. I know that there's at least another 10 or so of each missing!! Don't lend them out!!

My wife just walked in the door with a copy of One Rockin' Night Live In Montreal! I had it with a copy of Brian with when he was featured on VH1 special, but I lent them out and can't remember to whom!

Yeah, I have two whole boxes of vinyl but none of it is Stray Cats . I don't even have one of their CDs. It's so much more easy to get everything off the internet.(Stupid technology ) But after the concert I'm pretty sure I'm going to devote an entire wall of my room to them. So I'll have to get a poster a shirt and some album covers (from somwhere) to put up. But that means down with the CCR and Led Zeppelin stuff I have holding their place and up with the Kings Oh yes, along with the guitar right in the middle of it all.

Nice grouping, Pete! I would drag mine out, but then I would run the risk of the wife and kids seeing such excesses as my seven copies of Boogie Woogie Christmas (Wal-mart, K-mart, Best Buy, Target, Target 2002, normal US release, Japanese release, and Advance Promo edition). She's already in a de-cluttering yard-sale mode, so the Setz-lection has to keep a low profile.

After I received an iPod for my birthday, my wife's older, over-protective sister, who is less understanding about my music collecting, couldn't resist asking the following question:

"After you import all of your CDs to your iPod, are you gonna sell them?"

They're so cute at that stage...

Yeah I do the same, buy a copy, then search for the Japanese copy for the bonus tracks, download them onto the ipod and forget about them!
Thinkin back, I think my favourite ones are the Stray Cats Live In Tokyo 1991 cd, Live at the US Festival and a Japanese cd that has all the songs the Cats did versions of but by the original artists. You can appreciate how the Cats chopped, changed and made them their own!

GREAT!! collection mate!, I wish mine was as big (the collection that is)
It's just getting harder and harder to buy stray cats stuff from any of the shops in the UK these days.The internet has helped alot,but you cannot get the stuff from ordinary shops like HMV,Virgin,etc,etc.
Keep at it mate ,it's looking GREAT!!
